According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2012:

  1. New Mexico: 600
  2. Kansas: 400
  3. Alabama: 100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2012:

  1. California: -6,800
  2. New York: -4,900
  3. Minnesota: -1,300
