According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2023, California added the highest number of jobs to the state government service-providing industry (5,070), followed by Maryland (1,502), and Mississippi (1,158).
On the other hand, Virginia added the least number of jobs (-4,316), followed by New Jersey (-3,309), and Florida (-2,551).
