According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2021, Alabama added the highest number of jobs to the state government health care and social assistance industry (279), followed by South Carolina (249), and Michigan (113).

On the other hand, Ohio added the least number of jobs (-400), followed by Washington (-288), and Arkansas (-209).
