According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 5% (sa) in January, 2006. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Colusa (19.3%), Trinity (13.6%), and Imperial (13%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Orange (3.5%), Marin (3.7%), and San Mateo (3.9%).
