According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 12.4% (sa) in November, 2009. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (29%), Colusa (19.3%), and Trinity (18.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Marin (8.2%), San Mateo (8.8%), and Santa Barbara (9%).
