According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 12.4% (sa) in August, 2010. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (32.1%), Yuba (17.3%), and Merced (16.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Marin (8.1%), San Mateo (8.6%), and San Francisco (9.2%).
