According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 11.3% (sa) in December, 2011. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (27.2%), Colusa (24.6%), and Sutter (18.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Marin (6.6%), San Mateo (6.9%), and San Francisco (7.3%).
