According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 10.3% (sa) in August, 2012. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (31.4%), Colusa (15.8%), and Tulare (15.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Marin (6.5%), San Mateo (6.6%), and San Francisco (7%).
