According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 10.2% (sa) in September, 2012. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (29.4%), Colusa (14.5%), and Tulare (14.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Mateo (6%), Marin (6%), and San Francisco (6.4%).
