According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 9.7% (sa) in January, 2013. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Colusa (28.4%), Imperial (25.6%), and Plumas (19.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Marin (6%), San Mateo (6.1%), and San Francisco (6.5%).
