According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 4.3% (sa) in December, 2018. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (18.8%), Colusa (16.7%), and Tulare (10.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Mateo (2.1%), San Francisco (2.3%), and Marin (2.4%).
