According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Jersey was 6.5% (sa) in November, 2008. Among all New Jersey counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Cape May (10.7%), Cumberland (8.8%), and Atlantic (8.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hunterdon (4.1%), Somerset (4.4%), and Morris (4.4%).
