According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 71,287 adult arrests made in US metropolitan counties for larceny theft offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (44.80K), followed by Black or African American (24.73K), and Asian (1.16K).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 61,281 (86%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (52.00K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (9.28K).
