According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 515,404 adult arrests made in the US for larceny theft offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (323.65K), followed by Black or African American (172.94K), and American Indian or Alaska Native (9.23K).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 449,906 (87%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (365.37K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (84.54K).
