According to the FBI UCR data, in 2024, there were 259,470 adult arrests made in US cities for violent crime offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (130.48K), followed by Black or African American (117.43K), and Asian (5.91K).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 229,251 (88%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (166.09K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (63.16K).
