Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2011, the citizen population for Delaware was 847,540 and represented 95.14% of the total Delaware population.

Among all Delaware counties, New Castle had the highest citizen population (506.28K), followed by Sussex (185.39K), and Kent (155.88K).
