Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2024, the citizen population for Delaware was 971,201 and represented 95.11% of the total Delaware population.

Among all Delaware counties, New Castle had the highest citizen population (544.85K), followed by Sussex (244.00K), and Kent (182.35K).
