Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2011, the citizen population for New Mexico was 1,901,955 and represented 93.36% of the total New Mexico population.

Among all New Mexico counties, Bernalillo had the highest citizen population (607.17K), followed by Do�a Ana (180.95K), and Santa Fe (128.77K).

In terms of percentages, Catron had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.19%), followed by Quay (99.06%), and Mora (98.46%).
