Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2012, the citizen population for Florida was 17,036,530 and represented 90.21% of the total Florida population.

Among all Florida counties, Miami-Dade had the highest citizen population (1.88M), followed by Broward (1.50M), and Palm Beach (1.16M).

In terms of percentages, Baker had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.33%), followed by Wakulla (99.23%), and Jefferson (99.14%).
