Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2015, the citizen population for Maryland was 5,487,335 and represented 92.53% of the total Maryland population.

Among all Maryland counties, Montgomery had the highest citizen population (856.87K), followed by Prince George's (779.20K), and Baltimore (775.99K).

In terms of percentages, Garrett had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.68%), followed by Calvert (99.10%), and Carroll (98.75%).
