New York Citizen Population By County in 2016 (ACS-5Yrs)

Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the citizen population for New York was 17,677,060 and represented 89.74% of the total New York population.

Among all New York counties, Kings had the highest citizen population (2.20M), followed by Queens (1.83M), and New York (1.39M).

In terms of percentages, Tioga had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.56%), followed by Genesee (99.31%), and Cortland (99.28%).
