Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the citizen voting-age population for Montana was 789,500 and represented 77.15% of the total Montana population.

Among all Montana counties, Yellowstone had the highest citizen voting-age population (117.66K), followed by Missoula (89.74K), and Gallatin (76.14K).

In terms of percentages, Powell had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (85.07%), followed by Deer Lodge (84.14%), and Judith Basin (83.59%).
