US Citizen Voting-age Population By State in 2016 (ACS-5Yrs)

Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the US citizen voting-age population was 224,603,560 and represented 70.51% of the total US population.

Among all US states and DC, California had the highest citizen voting-age population (24.58M), followed by Texas (17.18M), and Florida (14.20M).

In terms of percentages, Maine had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (79.09%), followed by Vermont (78.81%), and West Virginia (78.72%).
