Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2023, the citizen voting-age population for Montana was 859,640 and represented 77.79% of the total Montana population.

Among all Montana counties, Yellowstone had the highest citizen voting-age population (127.07K), followed by Gallatin (96.43K), and Missoula (96.07K).

In terms of percentages, Deer Lodge had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (87.54%), followed by Petroleum (87.50%), and Meagher (86.87%).
