Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the Hispanic or Latino of All Races citizen population for Illinois was 138,160 and represented 1.16% of the total Illinois citizen population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest Hispanic or Latino of All Races citizen population (996.95K), followed by Kane (118.16K), and Lake (107.75K).

In terms of percentages, Kane had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Hispanic or Latino of All Races (25.06%), followed by Cook (21.31%), and Boone (17.54%).
