Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2018, the citizen population for New Mexico was 1,969,310 and represented 94.12% of the total New Mexico population.

Among all New Mexico counties, Bernalillo had the highest citizen population (637.55K), followed by Do�a Ana (191.44K), and Sandoval (137.78K).

In terms of percentages, Catron had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (100.00%), followed by Harding (100.00%), and Mora (99.67%).
