Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2018, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Iowa was 1,281,810 and represented 42.28% of the total Iowa citizen population.

Among all Iowa counties, Polk had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (26.71K), followed by Scott (12.34K), and Black Hawk (11.26K).

In terms of percentages, Black Hawk had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (8.75%), followed by Scott (7.33%), and Polk (5.94%).
