Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2021, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Iowa was 1,315,935 and represented 42.73% of the total Iowa citizen population.

Among all Iowa counties, Polk had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (29.97K), followed by Scott (12.00K), and Linn (11.15K).

In terms of percentages, Black Hawk had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (8.81%), followed by Scott (7.02%), and Polk (6.46%).
