Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2020, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Iowa was 1,290,900 and represented 42.33% of the total Iowa citizen population.

Among all Iowa counties, Polk had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (28.82K), followed by Scott (12.35K), and Black Hawk (10.97K).

In terms of percentages, Black Hawk had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (8.68%), followed by Scott (7.29%), and Polk (6.25%).
