Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2019, the citizen population for New Mexico was 1,976,245 and represented 94.45% of the total New Mexico population.

Among all New Mexico counties, Bernalillo had the highest citizen population (639.50K), followed by Do�a Ana (194.02K), and Sandoval (140.04K).

In terms of percentages, Mora had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.67%), followed by De Baca (99.51%), and McKinley (98.70%).
