Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2021, the Indiana citizen population was 6.54M. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen population (5.26M) and constituted 80.51% of the total. The Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen population (607.52K) and constituted 9.29% of the total. The Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group had the third highest (395.84K), constituting 6.06% of the total citizen population.
