Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2023, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for New Jersey was 1,311,185 and represented 15.75% of the total New Jersey citizen population.

Among all New Jersey counties, Essex had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (283.61K), followed by Union (106.94K), and Camden (92.83K).
