Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2020, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for New Jersey was 1,290,900 and represented 16.08% of the total New Jersey citizen population.

Among all New Jersey counties, Essex had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (278.07K), followed by Union (107.35K), and Camden (92.41K).
