According to the US Census Bureau Vintage data estimates, in 2012, the birth rate for California was 13.16. Tulare County had the highest birth rate (17.9), followed by Imperial County (17.12), and Fresno County (16.93) On the other hand, Alpine County had the lowest birth rate (4.54), followed by Sierra County (6.81), and Amador County (7.45).
