According to the US Census Bureau Vintage data estimates, in 2017, the birth rate for California was 12.3. Imperial County had the highest birth rate (16.39), followed by Yuba County (16.09), and Merced County (16.01) On the other hand, Alpine County had the lowest birth rate (5.53), followed by Amador County (7.82), and Nevada County (8.04).
