According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 24,018 people in Massachusetts who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 0.34% of the total population of Massachusetts. Essex County had the highest number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (4,076), followed by Suffolk County (3,865), and Middlesex County (3,676). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone were: Nantucket County (87), Franklin County (195), and Dukes County (214).
