Minnesota Black or African American Alone Voting-age Population By County in Census 2020

According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all the Minnesota voting-age population (18 years and over), there were 260,434 people who identified their race as Black or African American Alone, which is 5.93% of the total voting-age population of Minnesota.

Hennepin County had the highest number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population (115,630), followed by Ramsey County (47,319), and Dakota County (20,539).

On the other hand, the three counties with low number of Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Kittson County (3), Mahnomen County (4), and Marshall County (8).

In terms of the percentage of each county's voting-age population, Hennepin County had the highest percentage, with 11.46% of its voting-age population identifying their race as Black or African American Alone, followed by Ramsey County (11.08%), and Anoka County (6.43%).
