According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2017, the death rate for Colorado was 6.75. Mineral County had the highest death rate (21.21), followed by Huerfano County (17.86), and Kiowa County (15.48). On the other hand, San Miguel County had the lowest death rate (1.99), followed by Eagle County (2.26), and Summit County (2.28).
