According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2013, the number of deaths for New Mexico was 16,789. Bernalillo County had the highest number of deaths (5,092), followed by Doña Ana County (1,445), and Santa Fe County (1,114). On the other hand, Harding County had the lowest number of deaths (6), followed by De Baca County (38), and Union County (41).
