According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2014, the number of deaths for South Carolina was 44,535. Greenville County had the highest number of deaths (3,966), followed by Horry County (3,008), and Charleston County (2,960). On the other hand, McCormick County had the lowest number of deaths (114), followed by Allendale County (116), and Bamberg County (154).
