According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2016, the number of deaths for South Carolina was 47,261. Greenville County had the highest number of deaths (4,261), followed by Horry County (3,414), and Charleston County (3,106). On the other hand, Allendale County had the lowest number of deaths (112), followed by McCormick County (134), and Calhoun County (156).
