Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 32,221 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Utah and they represented 1.06% of the total population of Utah in 2016. Salt Lake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (18,096), followed by Davis County (3,935), and Utah County (3,181). On the other hand, Wayne County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (4), followed by Daggett County (4), and Piute County (5).
