Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2021, there were 945,694 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in Montana and they represented 85.48% of the total population of Montana in 2021. Yellowstone County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (142,754), followed by Gallatin County (110,669), and Missoula County (104,696). On the other hand, Petroleum County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (489), followed by Treasure County (684), and Golden Valley County (725).
