Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2021, there were 48,789 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Montana and they represented 4.41% of the total population of Montana in 2021.

Yellowstone County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (10,658), followed by Gallatin County (6,404), and Missoula County (5,997). On the other hand, Petroleum County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (11), followed by Garfield County (14), and Carter County (18).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Yellowstone County had the highest percentage (6.37%), followed by Richland County (5.4%), and Treasure County (5.34%).
