Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, there were 32,019 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Montana and they represented 3.19% of the total population of Montana in 2012.

Yellowstone County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (7,606), followed by Missoula County (3,160), and Cascade County (3,103). On the other hand, Petroleum County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (6), followed by Garfield County (7), and Carter County (8).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Yellowstone County had the highest percentage (5.01%), followed by Big Horn County (4.33%), and Richland County (4.08%).
