Montana Hispanic or Latino Population By County in 2017

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, there were 40,827 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Montana and they represented 3.87% of the total population of Montana in 2017.

Yellowstone County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (9,211), followed by Gallatin County (4,116), and Missoula County (3,927). On the other hand, Petroleum County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (6), followed by Carter County (14), and Liberty County (15).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Big Horn County had the highest percentage (5.82%), followed by Yellowstone County (5.78%), and Richland County (5.34%).
