Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 492,182 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Maryland and they represented 8.43% of the total population of Maryland in 2011.

Montgomery County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (173,646), followed by Prince George's County (133,488), and Baltimore County (35,905). On the other hand, Garrett County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (245), followed by Somerset County (886), and Kent County (924).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Montgomery County had the highest percentage (17.52%), followed by Prince George's County (15.26%), and Frederick County (7.52%).
