Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 27,616 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in North Dakota and they represented 3.65% of the total population of North Dakota in 2016.

Cass County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (4,595), followed by Ward County (4,314), and Grand Forks County (2,919). On the other hand, Billings County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (15), followed by Sheridan County (20), and Logan County (22).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Walsh County had the highest percentage (11.36%), followed by McKenzie County (7.73%), and Mountrail County (7.46%).
