Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, there were 29,162 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in West Virginia and they represented 1.60% of the total population of West Virginia in 2017.

Berkeley County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (5,030), followed by Jefferson County (3,184), and Monongalia County (2,224). On the other hand, Wirt County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (49), followed by Tucker County (53), and Webster County (64).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Gilmer County had the highest percentage (5.71%), followed by Jefferson County (5.63%), and Hardy County (4.65%).
