According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the net domestic migration for North Carolina was 103,202. Wake County had the highest net domestic migration (14,152) followed by Johnston County (9,261), and Brunswick County (7,999). On the other hand, Onslow County had the lowest net domestic migration (-3,410), followed by Hertford County (-1,632), and Mecklenburg County (-1,563).
